“Apple (iPad) is a walled garden. Steve holds the keys and he charges almost as much for admission as DisneyWorld. Some of us believe it’s worth the price of admission (mostly for reliability, interface speed, and aesthetics).

“Windows is a concrete city playground built around a train station. You can do anything on that train. You might want to carry a gun.

“Ubuntu is a state park, but someone dumped you in the middle with a broken compass and a sextant. A fun adventure unless the bear eats your thesis.”
